Our team is back from this month's Specialty Coffee Association event in San Diego, California! The three-day festival, which occurred April 10-12, was an incredible experience for all of us. This year, we partnered with the wonderful
Slow Pour Supply team to create a very ambitious experience at our booth. We met industry friends, demo'd the
Horizon with talented roasteries, and held a packed masterclass schedule.
At the Booth
This year, our booth at the US show focused on our latest innovations, sharing stories, and connecting with our community. Together with Slow Pour Supply, we created a space to showcase our products, share delicious coffee, and host many industry innovators. Read below to learn and see what happened at our shared stand throughout the long weekend.
Horizon Brew Bar
Throughout the show, we featured a range of incredible companies on our Horizon Brew Bar. From our distributors in Mexico and Brazil, to both local and national roasters, we showcased the Horizon together. The Horizon instantly transforms the atmospheric environment inside the cup. It uses an integrated pressure sensor and active modulation to create a controlled low-pressure environment. This results in a smoother mouthfeel, more rounded acidity, and enhanced natural sweetness, revealing the coffee’s intrinsic flavor.
Behind the Bar Sessions
A new concept for our time at this year's World of Coffee was small-group masterclasses. Together with Slow Pour Supply, we organized a varied and specialized schedule of speakers. Many of our invited companies covered much of the coffee chain and beyond. Over the three days, we welcomed roasteries like
Slow Bloom and Proud Mary to brew and tell their stories. We also hosted
The Barista League,
Standart Magazine,
Lohas Beans, and Canadian Barista Champion Ben Put at our booth. They spoke with attendees and provided their perspectives.
Every day, we arranged exclusive Horizon sessions, pairing demos from our team with roasteries presenting a coffee from their offerings. We had the pleasure of welcoming La Cabra,
Ceremony, and
The Boy and The Bear for these demo collaborations.
On the Show Floor
Our booth wasn't the only one that was busy at this year's event! World of Coffee San Diego played host to hundreds of booths, brand-new products, thousands of attendees, and the World Latte Art Championships. While we didn't get much time to explore the floor, we did spot many of our friends and resellers exhibiting on impressive stands and among the crowds.
SEY House
We were delighted to demo the Horizon at the Sunday morning session of the SEY Coffee event. Before day three of World of Coffee kicked off, our team met with visitors to the pop-up near the exhibition centre. Pulling shots and drumming up conversation at the morning slot was one of our highlights of the San Diego trip. Thank you again to the team for inviting us to jump on bar!

World of Coffee Bangkok

London Coffee Fest and Formative Coffee Event

Team Acaia is heading to Belgium for the 2026 European rendition of World of Coffee! We're still in the planning stages, but keep an eye out for what we'll be up to June 25 - 27.
